1: ARGYBARGY interim ed finished final day. inc. usual toxic argt re mag's future w.publisher -- she won't commission anything if they don't tell her who next designer will be (sez will stay in touch w.me but we shall see)
2: HOBSON JOBSON new ed not yet appointed -- a mag overseer has been brought in at "consultant" level, we met him before and he knows a LOT abt mags, which is good and bad (ie he understands how they work at office-level hurrah but we can't bullshit him)
3: NIMIMY PIMINY? i have laid down a marker that i am NOT doin loads of editorial back-up work w/o bein PAID for it (one of the candidates wd def require SOMEONE to do this)
4: HUGGER MUGGER tomorrow i put together my pitch to be "web editorial consultant" (in addition to writing the org's definitive style guide)
5: SHILLYSHALLY org incapable of making decisions will lose momentum shunted into new-look mag w. several strong new writers
