... that i met up with a huge convention of ilxors in america, on the lovely lawns outside the PALACE OF THE PLANETS from andre norton's STAR RANGERS! (visually this place only exists in my mind's eye -- i mean it is the building she describes as i imagined it when small)

anyway everyone was there: f.kogan and g.marcus were trying to tidy up the many beer glasses and were carrying them in one go, in a very huge and very very precarious pile -- and my "fans" were gathered excitedly round me! one of them (luckily i have forgotten which if any actual real ilxor this was) said: "i have read everything you ever posted mark, and my favourite ever was 'THOUSANDS -- '"

AND THEN I WOKE UP >:(

Last night I apparently saved the life of Nicolas Cage, that drinkin drivin' fool, and he was staying with us for a while back home home. It seemed to be a dream in many episodes, like if I kept waking and going back to it, but my general experience with that sort of nonsense is that you lose a certain consistency, like you fastforwarded though a bit "Oh, there are vikings now?"

I am yet to decide what my favourite thing that you have said is, but my favourite thing that you said your dad said is "MIND THAT CORK!".

I'm one of your fans was I there? You were in my dream last night, we and others were packing up boxes of belongings so we could move "to the city". I didn't have any boxes so I was just putting things in piles and planning to come back for them later. One of the items was a giant, unweildy telescope that kept falling apart as I tried to move it. Some of its components were pointy wooden coat hangers. I wanted to throw it away but then I realised it was a present from you! THANKS MARK!

What's the address for ILX these days? I tried a few times during the xmas hols and the wh3rd one wouldn't load, some other forum said it was moving to a new domain or something. I need a more productive distraction from work than LJing!

it's at http://ilx.wh3rd.net/index.php

(it was offline for abt six weeks over xmas whle they moved the whole lot to new big server -- which why you were getting nothing) (those unable to break the habit during those weeks used a mini-ilx called the "sandbox")
