18: During 2015:

i: which popular character fell to a Minnesota toxophilite?
ii: whose crown-scarred skull has found a final resting place?
iii: where has a polychrome hybrid of Galanthus been relaunched?
iv: which archiepiscopal foundation has closed its doors after 432 years?
v: for which sleuth has his luscinial escapade now turned out to be his swan song?
vi: which anthem, played in error, was equally erroneously attributed to Kazakhstan?
vii: which six-times winner did his final lap almost 65 years after his first victory?
viii: how has Suffragette militancy progressed to Suffragen achievement?
ix: how did a redesigned garden contribute to gold in China?
x: how has Bellerophon returned at the expense of Aquila?

VERY INCOMPLETE: we need iii, iv, vii, ix and x!

I'm completely blanking but now I want to say the detective in question is Scandinavian -- did Henning Menkell (sic) die this year, or am I making that up? (apologies to Mr Menkell if I am)

mankell did indeed die last year, which means his fictional sleuth kurt wallander has indeed had his swan song: the final novel (it says here) is called "the troubled man", which doesn't seem to have much to do with flycatchers or nightingales

(and the most recent film, most recent TV release and most recent DVD release don't seem much more related: the pyramid, the secret and the witness)

If I'm wrong, and it's not Mankell: there was a P.D. James / Dalgleish novel titled Shroud of the Nightingale; was it adapted/filmed at all last year?

(yes, Google/Wikipedia was involved in finding that title)
