This has to be the round that foxed us the most. Given the reference to Tacitus, are these things some or all of which existed in Roman times?

Hmm, Manchester was a Roman fort though, so perhaps someone from whatever tribe lived in what is now Glasgow turned up there?

Also, your pre-edit post now has me singing "Pretty Glasgow, pretty, pretty Glasgow" to the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang music. :)
