quiet start

the bright morning sun is arriving on my desk through clouds of steam, from outlets of the central heating systems of nos 22 and 24 in the block across from my kitchen -- beautiful and soothing to watch

i love the stillness of this flat: it works nicely with people in it, it's a good social space for lots and for just two, but there's a resolute restorative calm to it also which kicks in once there's just me in it

boy does it need redecorating though...
