So, imagine if you will that your partner is half-dutch and half from the bloodlines of the foundered continent of lemuria. So you would describe them as Euro-Lemurian.

You are tenured fellow, author of several tartly critical works on the politics of modern culture. You retain your youthful slimness; you are handsome, in an angular way. In times past, students have entertained crushes...

So, the line: "You're Euro-Lemurian, aren't you? I'm really interested in that. My wife doesn't understand me is Euro-Lemurian! Would you like some wine with my marking your essay?"

She fended him off and fled to the pub where she had already text-gathered her pals, to spill the hard facts about what they had all already guessed...
