the west is the best (possibly)

spent yesterday very pleasantly at high speed round the western boroughs with triffidfarm and piratemoggy, unbending devotees of that quarter and -- not-unrelatedly -- one another (aw): like any long race enervating and exhilarating at different points of the day (i got my spasm of competitiveness when two women in a barnet pub excitedly told us that haringey just was seven minutes walk up the hill, and cheered us on as we left) (because it was a random intrusion of public interest causing us to improvise!) (as opposed to endless internalised rejigging of our plan while pretending we didn't really care) (which i was a bit shut out of as i had never till yesterday given any thought at all to eg harrow, hounslow or hillingdon, and possibly never will again)

anyway i live in the right place: west london is ok to visit FOR A VERY SHORT TIME :D

update: for the rest of this gorgeous morning i am going to be making notes on a michael winner film starring oliver reed, and only viewable on youtube :\
