what can one do with a (large) bunch of old wax?

i: chuck it out <--- i am bad at this with anything that doesn't physically rot
ii: post it on hackney freecycle
iii: melt it down into a lump (and doubtless ruin a pan)
iv: make back into candles? this seems the "responsible" solution b-but...
