work opportinity (VERY part time)

hullo excellent LJ proofreaders!!

our outsource proofreader at [where i work] just quit -- her dayjob is more demanding and she can't commit to our deadline requirements any more.

so we need someone for a few days once every two months -- can work from home -- who can read, check and mark up around 40 pages of text, turning it round in a handful of days. Actual time allowed varies as does pagination, but it is usually pretty late and frantic -- and needs to fit into our requirements.

this is back-up proofing best done by someone outside the magic office circle, who will spot stuff everyone in the circle will miss

Must be: adept with printer's mark-up and have an excellent eye
Should be: good at saying "I don't follow this! Waht u talk about f00ls?"

Recompense is negotiable -- it's currently not great but not awful either.

NO! i am agin this basically, as i think paper mark-up remains much more precise and economic and accurate -- i am at war with my webmanagers on this point and there is a big MEETING on fri to thrash it out
