sodium lighting = this is the colour it is in heaven

i think there was an excellent reflector effect viz all of london's street lighting (a lot of it sodium orange) was bouncing back off low cloud cover, making the sky extremely bright

my expensive camera wouldn't play to photograph it (or more likely i couldn't work out its night setting) but my mobile loves it!

yes this was my favourite thing about the snow last night - you could see everything as clear as day, and "everything" included a SOLITARY FOX moseying casually about in the gardens behind my flat, unaware that it could be seen at all! it wandered around for about 20 minutes and was totally awesome.
