my co-host calls it "prep for the post-apocalypse ep":
i: i woke this morning and checked my emails
ii: my computer was unresponsive
iii: it is a bit ancient so i CURSED WILDLY and went into the kitchen to turn on the kettle
iv: the kitchen seemed somehow quiet
v: i tried some lights -- nothing
vi: looked at the little spinny thing by the fusebox -- nothing
vii: checked the lights on the shared landing -- they worked!*
viii: heard a downstairs neighbour apologising to a girl he was lettin out of his flat that he had no electricity
ix: went downstairs and found a note from ground-floor flat saying the electrician was arriving soon
EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON MACHINES <--- why it would be a good subject for a short story!!
*yeah wtf?
