I have been unable to successfully google any of the above so far (because they are TOO GOOD at being spies, clearly) but I have spent the last half hour reading the excellent wikipedia entry for Joan Pujol Garcia, a WW2 double-agent who fed the Nazis a bunch of duff information, convincing them he was in London when in fact he was kicking around in Lisbon. His network of 'fake spies' have amazing codenames: DAGOBERT, BENEDICT, MOONBEAM and CHAMILLUS!
