i am actually too tired to be 100% on this but i think it's true to say that there hasn't been a single day in the last seven where i didn't encounter something that (a) shook me up quite a bit and (b) was exciting and maybe taught me something to my potential advantage -- blimey, as they say (or in fact as *i* say)

ok to be strictly accurate day one was primarily the lesson "never put a beef cornet in yr mouth" BUT YOU HAVE TO START SOMEWHERE

it is a klassik 50s kanape: a slice of beef rolled into a cornet-shape, then insert filling of creamcheese and horseradish -- it seems edible enough at the time; as the days pass the memory gets you feeling queasier every time it returns...

To follow on from this: I think in the last year there has been one coincidence between a set of things or events I encounter per week that seems AMAZING to me but probably would be way too banal for everyone else.

Ah, I'm glad you explained - I assumed it was a euphemism.
