i: some fool contributor sent in a review at twice the commissioned length; i had to cut it from 1400 to 750 -- he just emailed to say "nice job!"* :)
ii: swam 10 lengths in the lido in a thunderstorm -- thought they'd close it but they only do that for what they consider "heavy"** rain
