Alice's Adventures in S&S: because of dad, I only got to tweak the first draft, really. But since they liked it pretty much as it was, I'm fairly content. There is, after all, a ton more stuff in this material.
just back; suspect undid a week's good work re Big Diet March
my cousin told a funny story: he was a small child during the war, his dad a GP in a small northern town; in the same town lived a woman who ran a confectioners, and made chocolate -- quite widely celebrated chocolate (the shop and the little firm still exist); it was war-time, there was rationing, but throughout the war (says my cousin) this woman got fancy chocolate delivered to her from neutral switzerland (ie from a country surrounded by the axis forces); now and then passing some on to her GP's (ie his dad's) household
how did this work? can my cousin be right or is he confusing the dates?
