dr b and i have been chattin a lot in the last two days about mum and dad, which of us ended up with whose traits, and she reminded me just now of v!ck's eagle-eyed spot at mum's funeral, which is that the bevy of dad's carers helping us out that day -- all young-ish women, some agency, some local -- were incredibly competitive about being attentive to him: even as an elderly invalid he was a total babemagnet :)
