darkness is the bacon of sunlight

we were beachcombing. [livejournal.com profile] molassestragedy -- who wasn't there, but was observing like a wise internet ghost -- pointed out that "darkness is the bacon of sunlight"

and it was true! because we could pick up delicious sizzling strips of shadow and eat them

darkness is the bacon of sunlight!

"Pluto, the planet of transformation, takes a whopping 248 years to complete a single cycle of rotation around the Sun. On average, it spends 21 years in each sign and 5 months of each year in retrograde. Pluto turns retrograde in Capricorn on 4 April, signaling in a time of destruction and rebuilding, rejuvenation and regeneration. It is a time for fresh starts and dead ends. The things that we hang onto the tightest can suddenly be taken away. We may be forced to reevaluate the things we cherish most."

Web-designers and other editing peeps, what procedures do you adopt for marking up web-page correctios.

I am in dispute with our comms dept, they want me to mark up in p0werpoint, which seems nuts to me. (Very timeconsuming, just for a start; and bound to introduce confusion and error and grief...)

Am I just being a crusty old twit for arguing that old-skool printer’s marks by hand on paper are quicker and more precise?

Part one of the problem is that we don't have access to the pages themselves -- the designers are jealously guarding the control of correction-making

Part two of the problem is that the current page archiecture doesn't allow us to print pages out as they appear on-screen. You have to screen-grab and insert into p0werpoint to read them tidily.
