... with f!nance, when they said they couldn't pick up the tab for my bank charges caused by them paying me a whole month late: "we are a char!ty, we can't afford that kind of money"

poor guy, he was being quite nice and emollient -- anyway he said "i hear what you're saying" (i shd think so, they could hear me in the next street!) and will talk some more to his boss and mine


(mine in fact being totally behind me...)

given that my general advice to others is STAND UP FOR YOURSELF and TELL THEM WHAT YOU THINK OF THEM, this is a bit of a breakthrough for me -- normally i just say "oh whatever, don't do it again"
