ok it is gas-mains and the pipes are pre-victorian and better a traffic jam than an EXPLOSION which destroys my the nice ppl in bank but SHEESH i am made grumpy by the way the buses are solving the problem of the angel bottleneck -- 90% of the 38s stopping at mildmay tavern where NO ONE IN THE WORLD WANTS TO GET OFF even when the (always misleading) robotgirly voice on the bus still says "38 to victoria" inside

the drivers are all in a foul temper also which is understandable but hardly helps the atmosphere

also why do 2-pound coins rarely work in the ticket machines
