i put my just-washed bedlinen out on the line to dry about two hours ago -- it was grey but breezy, and didn't (i judged) threaten rain

that rain was awesome - copious but not falling as fast as usual. heavy but slow showers are the best (uh but sorry about the laundry).

patience is key in this weather - it rained all over my sheets yesterday but then out came the sunshine and dried up all the rain and an hour later all was dry.
