birthday* facts
Feb. 9th, 2008 06:50 pmi: V's friends Tr&Tr, who live by the millennium done, take the riverboat to work every day -- it is cheaper than bus or tube and takes less time
ii: B asked me if i'd spotted the exciting sooncome double bill in preston viz HAWKWIND and VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR -- as we embarked on the tricky question of which hawkwind we meant (inc.former gongfella TIM BLAKE but NOT an angry and embittered dave brock), Tr chipped in to say he'd seen hawkwind and vdgg play preston in 1986: "omg so did i!" sed B...
iii: the wapping wall powerstation art gallery restaurant serves good food, very slowly, and VERY expensively -- part of my starter was giant grown-up capers which taste like tiny normal capers but LOOK like alien plant podule blobs
iv: the art on show currently in the restaurant claims in its literature to be "defying gravity" -- turner prize for cheek as it is basically a jerrybuilt hoist and pulley AND THAT'S IT
v: what a lovely day it was out -- we saw a tulip bulb floating in the thames
vi: v seemed sad and a bit low and careworn; 2md wz with her, a teeny bit less shy with us all than before; haha i've seen Tr three times in eight months and every time she's said "sparky you've lost weight AGAIN!"
vii: i will post some pix 2moro if i can work out how to transfer my camera's memorycard into my printer
*not mine, other people's
