back numbers

spent a lot too long last night rereading old ilx threads i started in 2002-03 (i had a reason but it wasn't very convincing)

i. blimey i talk abt dr v!ck a lot, you'd think i wz in love or something!
ii. erm is it a good sign i have totally FORGOTTEN so many of em
iii. my time-sense is screwed up... the search function turns em up in chron order, and i wz constantly bein surprised at what that was
iv. my sense of comedy timing and style has changed an AWFUL lot over the last six years
v. my best gift seems to be turnin my subtile mind to the analysis of INCREDIBLY EVANESCENT CRAP --- viz a grebt large post on the intricacies of a v.garbagey doc on intution vis-a-vis the "who wants to be a millionaire" scandal
vi. who hell WAS comenius?
vii. haha "a hecatomb of fat elves"

i think i may have always figured she was a lesbian or something, or you were and she wasn't - you always made you both sound so chummy!

too many threads to remember, so not a sign either way.

I have to start more threads (or fights) again..

I find my ILX self hard to relate to - I think, after the very early days, I was always defensive there to a greater or lesser extent, and that isn't conducive to me being at my best. Still, there were some good ideas I first chewed over there - coming up with (what became) a whole essay in about 15 minutes for the "band that best expresses a sense of Englishness" thread was just about my best moment, I think, and that thread included one of the responses which made me feel most proud of myself, most convinced that I wasn't a twat after all.
